Bovi And Basketmouth Are Richer Than Several Musicians – Shank Comics

Nigerian content creator and streamer Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel, popularly known as Shank Comics, has tooted the horns of the comedy industry, comparing it to the music industry.

Shanks sparked numerous debate on social media following his claim during a recent livestream, where he downplayed the wealth in the music industry, asserting that comedians earn better.

According to Shanks, popular comedians, Bovi and Basketmouth are financially buoyant than music stars Wizkid, Asaka, Burna Boy, amongst others, however, they seldom flaunt their wealth.

He maintained that the main reason behind the lack of lavish spending among comedians is due to investment.

He said: “I think there is more money in comedy than music. Bovi and Basketmouth are far richer than Asake, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and other musicians, but they prefer to invest rather than buy cars.

“Comedians are very conscious of the future, so they invest more than they spend, and they don’t spend lavishly on luxuries.

"A lot of comedians can afford the luxurious automobiles Nigerian musicians are buying."
