Laycon Opens Up On Struggle With Inner Voice, Following BBNaija Win
Big Brother Naija star and rapper Olamilekan Agbeleshebioba, popularly known as Laycon, has opened up on his personal struggle after his win on the reality show.
Laycon made this public in a trending video broadcast ‘Life With Laycon,’ where he shared how there was a point he could not hear the world, but only his own thoughts.
According to him, the period came after his BBNaija Win in 2020, and it marked his loss of inner voice. Describing the period as one filled with solitude, he revealed that he began to have several conversations with himself before eventually finding it after selling out his concert.
Admonishing the public, Laycon revealed that there are periods in an individual's life that would be filled with silence, and it is important to focus on that silence. He explained that such period brings about clarity and realization before the big move.
He said: "Has the world ever gone silent on you and all you have left was your own thoughts?."
“I have been there and I want to share a part of that experience with you. After I won Big Brother Naija in 2020, I lost my inner voice and the first time I heard that voice again was December 2021 after my sold-out concert, The Icons Fest.
“The voice kept asking me questions like, ‘Is this really how you want to live? Are you enjoying yourself? What’s next after this?
“Are you happy? Questions that made me want to sit alone with my thoughts. So, that’s what I did. From that conversation came a lot of necessary but uncomfortable truths and realisation about myself."
