Tiwa Savage Establishes Music Foundation To Train African Creatives 

Afrobeats star, Tiwa Savage, is set to give back to the society by establishing a music foundation, aimed at supporting African creatives.

Announcing her decision on Instagram, she stated that her foundation is targeted at empowering African creatives with access to mentorship and world-class music education.

"After years of building globally... It's time to build at home Introducing the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation. A new initiative dedicated to empowering emerging African creatives through access, mentorship and world-class music education."

Dropping further updates in a joint Instagram post, she announced her partnership with the Berklee College of Music, which would provide strategic music education to Lagos, Nigeria, from April 23rd–26th, 2026.

According to the Berklee College of Music statement – the event is aimed at giving Africa's talents the opportunity to gain sufficient experience in the music world, which will see the participants given the opportunity and resources to shape the future of music across Africa.

"The Tiwa Savage Music Foundation and Berklee College of Music are proud to announce our new partnership, which will bring Berklee’s world-class music education to the city of Lagos, Nigeria, for the first time ever, from April 23rd–26th, 2026.

Spearheaded by Berklee alumna @TiwaSavage (PDM ‘07), the newest Berklee on the Road program, titled Berklee in Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Intensive Music Program, is made for Africa’s budding talent to gain hands-on experience in the music world and fully grasp the opportunities available to them on and off the stage. Over four days, participants will be given the opportunity and tools to shape the future of music across the continent.
