Rwanda Police Condemn Roadway Content, Following Nigerian Content Creator Attempt
Joe Bassey, a Nigerian content creator, has been warned by the Rwanda police authorities, following his recent roadway content.
In a viral video on social media, Bassey shared a video, hailing Rwanda's cleanliness, while sitting on the road.
Following the traction, the authorities on the popular microblogging platform (X formerly known as Twitter), acknowledged the initiative behind the clip, while condemning the location of the content.
According to the statement, filming on the roadway is "unsafe and violated road safety regulations."
The Rwanda police authorities further advised content creation to be done in safe areas.
The statement read: "Hello, while we appreciate the good intentions behind this clip, recording content in the roadway is unsafe and violates road safety regulations, as it puts road users at risk. For everyone’s safety, we advise that filming be done in safe areas. Thank you.”
