Dele Momodu Shares Update On Custody Battle Between Davido And Sophia Momodu 

Renowned Nigerian media mogul, Dele Momodu, has weighed in on the ongoing messy custody battle between his niece, Sophia Momodu, and Afrobeats star, Davido, over their daughter, Imade Adeleke.

Recall that The Nigerian Voice reported some days ago that a lawyer on X, Maruf Muhammed, via Twitter, alleged that Davido was in court in Yaba, where he lost his cool during cross-examination and was venting his anger.

A day after, the 30BG boss dropped an update on the outcome of the custody battle, revealing that he never asked for full custody, but joint custody over his daughter Imade. He, however stated that he was resigning to fate, hoping that one day his daughter will grow up to acknowledge his efforts.

Davido also slammed the lawyer representing Sophia, noting how she used his late son against him. Hurling derogatory words at her, he prayed that she doesn't face what he and his wife went through

Dropping an update on his Instagram page, Dele Momodu revealed that he is currently in Liberia, where Davido is highly revered for his musical prowess.

He also noted how his niece, Sophia Momodu is also a favourite among ladies, revealing that they have been begging him to settle the differences between the duo.

According to him, plans are in place, as work is being done behind the scenes to solve the issue, and there should be an update soon.

He wrote: "Here in Liberia, @davido is treated as the god of music. I’ve been visiting here for over two decades, but this visit is different. I came to commiserate with my friend and Sister, former Vice President H.E. Dr Jewel Howard-Taylor, on the passing of her only child, Charles Philip Neilsen Taylor Jr.

Since landing here, I have been inundated with messages from fans of David, and ladies who love @thesophiamomodu to bits… One of them is this “fashion designer ” @lorine.doe who said I should step in and settle the “quarrels.”
