Ayo Makun Reacts To Viral Alleged Rape Incident Involving Tiktoker
Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the alleged rape incident involving a female Tiktoker, Mirabel, famous Nigerian comedian, Ayo Makun, has given his verdict.
On the popular microblogging platform, X formerly known as Twitter, which has been the major platform for the discussion of the alleged incident, AY stated that men are always guilty in any situation, until his innocence is proven.
He, however, shared a stark contrast to how women are treated, stating that they are forever innocent until proven guilty.
He further stressed the importance of the rule, and urged everyone to take note of the difference.
He wrote:
"A man is always guilty until he is proven innocent. A woman is forever innocent until she is proven guilty. No the difference and know peace."
AY's post stems from a trending alleged rape accusation, made by a TikToker and aesthetic vendor, Mirabel, who claimed she was raped in her apartment in Lagos by an unidentified individual.
In the now-viral video on Tiktok, Mabel on Monday, claimed that due to her struggle with sleeping, she drank herself to sleep, and that was when the incident occurred.
She also stated that due to being unable to grasp the brutality of the way she was sexually violated, she took a sniper.
Following the disclosure, the Lagos State Police Command and the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA), have reached out to her to get further updates.
The case has however taken another turn, as many X users are citing discrepancies in her claims, suggesting that she may be laying false accusation.
