Daddy Freeze Criticizes Nigerian Legal System, Amid Messy Custody Battle Between Davido And Sophia Momodu

Nigerian media personality, Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, has weighed in on the ongoing child custody battle between Davido and Sophia Momodu, over their child, Imade Adeleke.

Recall that The Nigerian Voice reported some days ago that a lawyer on X, Maruf Muhammed, via Twitter, alleged that Davido was in court in Yaba, where he lost his cool during cross-examination and was venting his anger.

A day after, the 30BG boss dropped an update on the outcome of the custody battle, revealing that he never asked for full custody, but joint custody over his daughter Imade. He, however stated that he was resigning to fate, hoping that one day his daughter will grow up to acknowledge his efforts.

Davido also slammed the lawyer representing Sophia, noting how she used his late son against him. Hurling derogatory words at her, he prayed that she doesn't face what he and his wife went through

According to him, an individual close to the lawyer has spoken up about the public scrutiny and criticism of the lawyer, over the court proceedings, following Davido's disclosure of the process.

The controversial star stated that intimidation, bullying or harassment are a no-brainer for him, however, the Nigerian legal system poses a lot of issues to be questioned

He cited the tactics of lawyers in court which involves harsh language and personal attacks, noting how he had also suffered such previously. He made emphasis on the mention of Davido's late son, labelling it as a low blow.

The former OAP further stated that the resultant effect of the case was being judged on social media, hence the attacks faced by the lawyer.
