Faithia Williams Announces Passing Of Mother

Nollywood actress, Faithia Williams, has announced the sad passing of her mother.

The Yoruba movie star, via her Instagram page, shared a photo of her late mother, noting that as she celebrated her 55th birthday on Thursday, February 5, plans were made to have her birthday celebration on Sunday, February 9.

She revealed that it was on the eve of her birthday party that her mother gave up the ghost, yet the news was hidden from her.

Still struggling to accept the shocking news, Faithia Williams described her late mother as a cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend, and gist partner.

In addition, she shared that her family needs privacy for now, while further details about the burial will be announced soon.

She wrote: "Dear friends, it was my 55th birthday on Thursday, February 5. However, I chose to have a party yesterday, Sunday.

Unbeknownst to me, my beloved mother died on the eve of my party and the news was cruelly kept away from me.

The reality of her passing has not totally dawned on me because she was my cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend, and gist partner wrapped in the invaluable gift of a mother.

Whilst I have taken solace in Allah (SWT), the Williams’ family has decided to keep things very private for now.

Your love and prayers will mean a lot to me and my siblings this period.
