Your Teachings, Knowledge, And Discipline Shaped Me Into Who I Am Today - Funke Akindele Celebrates Mother's Third Year Remembrance

Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, is commemorating the 3rd year since the passing of her mother, Dr. RB Adebanjo-Akindele.

Sharing photos of her late mother and images from her burial ceremony, Akindele hailed the deceased for being selfless, and ensuring to educate her children properly.

The award-winning actress credited her mother's teachings, knowledge and discipline, as being the tool that shaped her.

She further prayed for her soul, urging her to rest in peace, affirming her love for her.

She wrote: "My darling Mother, today marks 3 years since you left us. Mummy, you were a selfless queen who gave us the best education, taught us to believe in ourselves, and raised strong Children. Your legacy lives on in me, my siblings and your grand children.

Your teachings, knowledge, and discipline shaped me into who I am today. I celebrate you, mummy. May your kind soul continue to rest in peace. We love you, miss you, and will keep making you proud."

Funke Akindele's mother, Dr. RB Adebanjo-Akindele, gave up the ghost on February 7, 2023, and was finally laid to rest in a well-attended burial ceremony on March 11, 2023.
