Kendrick Lamar Emerges Grammys' Most Awarded Rapper 

In an impressive milestone, American rapper and songwriter, Kendrick Lamar, is now the most awarded rapper in Grammys' history.

The rapper's status was consolidated at the 68th Grammys award on Sunday, February 1st, in which he emerged victorious in all the rap categories he was nominated in.

Lamar's album ‘GNX’ clinched the Best Rap Album, while his collaboration with Lefty Gunplay, ‘TV Off’ emerged as the Best Rap Song.

Additionally, his hit song 'Luther' was announced as the Best Melodic Rap Performance, including his collaboration with Clipse, ‘Chains & Whips’ clinching the Best Rap Performance award.

Luther’ also won the highly coveted Record of the Year award.

Kendrick Lamar's domination of the rap categories places him as the most awarded rapper with 27 Grammies, surpassing his colleague, Jay-Z, who has 25.

The Nigerian Voice recalls that the 68th Grammys award was held at the L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, February 1st, 2026, with several artistes clinching awards in various categories.
