Naira Marley Bemoans Increase In Cultism In Nigerian Music Industry
Nigerian rapper and singer, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has bemoaned the increase in cultism in the Nigerian music industry.
The Marlians record label boss took to the popular microblogging platform, X formerly known as Twitter to air his concern, asserting that it is only himself and a few others who are devoid of cult groups in the music industry.
Berating further, he cited how many of the individuals who initiated others are armed with security escorts, and others are left to fend for themselves.
He wrote: "We no reach 5 weh never join cult for this [music] industry. Person weh put u for cult self dey carry police escort up and down.”
Naira Marley's post is a stark contrast to the notion many netizens have about him, due to several of his activities, particularly his alleged involvement in the death of his colleague, Mohbad.
