Bimpe Akintunde Pens Farewell Note To 'Omije Ojumi' Crooner
In a show of sorrow and sympathy, Nollywood actress Bimpe Akintunde, has penned a farewell message to late gospel singer, Bunmi Akinnaanu, better known for her hit song 'Omije Ojumi.'
In a post on her Instagram page, the Yoruba actress explained that her absence from social media was because of the death of the gospel singer. Bimpe Akintunde revealed that the late singer was someone she admired, sharing how even during times when they didn't see physically – they still connected well in their DMs.
Praying for the soul of the departed, she urged her to rest well.
She wrote: "SO I STAYED OFF THIS SPACE SINCE LAST NIGHT BECAUSE OF THE PASS AWAY OF A BELOVED SISTER, A GOSPEL SINGER THAT I LISTEN ΤΟ HER MUSIGAND ADMIRE GREATLY, EVEN WHEN WE WERE UNABLE TO MEET WE TALK IN THE DM OFTEN!!!!

The shocking news made the rounds on Wednesday January 14, and was first made public by her colleague Ayo Melody on behalf of her family. The Yoruba gospel singer, via his Instagram page, shared a picture of his late colleague, sharing how she gave up the ghost in a Lagos hospital on Monday, January 12.
