Rotimi Salami Appreciates Colleagues Over Love Shown During Burial Of Late Allwell Ademola
In a deeply reflective note on Instagram, Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami, has penned a heartfelt appreciation message to his colleagues, over the love shown throughout the burial rites of tbe late Allwell Ademola.
The Nigerian Voice reported that the Nollywood industry, particularly the Yoruba movie industry, was thrown into mourning over the death of actress Princess Allwell Ademola, who was announced to have suffered a heart attack which led to her death at the age of 43 on Saturday , December 27, 2025. Many actors and actresses took to their respective social media pages to express their shock at her sudden demise.
The late Allwell Ademola's service of songs was held on Thursday, January 8, and was well-attended by several Nollywood stars, including Wumi Toriola, Iyabo Ojo, Odunlade Adekola, Rotimi Salami, amongst others.
Breaking his silence since the conclusion of the actress' burial rites, Salami penned a gratitude message to his colleagues, film associations, acknowledging their love and support, throughout the burial of their late colleague.
He noted how their actions went beyond professionals in the same industry, but rather as a family who cares about their loved ones. He cited how they showed up through their presence, calls, messages, financial support, among many other admirable acts.
He further explained that their intentional show of love proved that their love goes beyond cameras, scrips and sets, and has transcended into humanity, love and brotherhood.
Raining prayers on them, he prayed for God's blessing, provision, protection, and guidance, while affirming that their love will never be forgotten.
He wrote: "Appreciation Letter Dear Esteemed Colleagues, Guilds, Associations, and the Entire Nollywood Family,
With a heart still heavy, yet deeply grateful, I write this letter to appreciate every one of you for the overwhelming love, support, and solidarity shown to us during the burial rites of our beloved colleague, Late Allwell Ademola.
In our darkest moment, you stood by us-not just as professionals in the same industry, but as a true family. From your presence, calls, messages, prayers, financial support, logistics, and quiet strength behind the scenes, you carried us when words failed and when grief felt unbearable.
Nollywood showed up in unity, compassion, and honour. You reminded us that beyond cameras, scripts, and sets, we share something deeper: humanity, love, and brotherhood. The dignity with which Allwell was laid to rest reflects the respect and value you all held for her life, her craft, and her impact.
We do not take any gesture for granted. Every effort, no matter how small it may have seemed to you, meant the world to us. You turned our tears into moments of strength and ensured that Allwell's final journey was filled with honour, light, and love.
May God reward you all abundantly, replenish every resource spent, and grant us long life so we will not gather in tears over one another again. May Allwell's soul continue to rest in perfect peace, and may her legacy live on through the unity and kindness we witnessed from you all.
