Nollywood actress, Dakore Akande, is grieving the loss of her father. The movie star, via her Instagram page, penned an emotional heartfelt tribute to her late father.

She revealed that her Dad passed on the 1st of January 2026, praying for his soul to rest in perfect peace. Expressing her heartbreak, she stated that she is glad that he is finally free from pain.

Dakore expressed gratitude for the memories and laughter, praising him for the excellence that he instilled in her and her siblings. She also noted how despite the complexity of their family, he is immensely loved and missed beyond comprehension.

She wrote:

I’m so totally heartbroken yet glad that you’re free from pain.
