‎Professional Actors Should Learn Detachment - Actress Etinosa Idemudia 

Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia, has emphasized the importance of actors learning the act of detachment while performing intimate roles.

The movie star stated that kissing and hugging during acting is a performative act, and is more calculative than intimate.

According to her, despite some intimate roles looking very real, she does not feel anything during the whole process because she is strongly of the belief that the intimate act is just a thing of the mind.

She wrote: "As a professional actor, you should be able to enter your character and come out of it easily. When you hear ‘action,’ you perform. When you hear ‘cut,’ you detach. Kissing and hugging passionately is a performative act. It is more calculative than intimate. Even though it looks real, I do not feel anything during intimate scenes because it is a mind thing."
