‎If You Cannot Extend Compassion, Extend Silence - Phyna Slams Critics

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has slammed critics of her decision to party, after losing her younger sister.

Phyna, who lost her sister in August, and buried her in September, came under immense criticism and scrutiny from many netizens after a video of her and Regina Daniels clubbing, surfaced on social media.

Many netizens slammed her and labelled her as insensitive and moving on too quickly despite her recent loss

Hitting back at her critics, Phyna, via the popular microblogging platform, X formerly known as Twitter, stated that grief has no manual or timetable.

According to her, the decision to enjoy life does not erase the pain she is going through.

She further pleaded with them to at least extend silence if they cannot extend compassion.

She wrote: "Grief has no manual, no fixed face, and no timetable. The fact that I choose to keep living, smiling, or sharing moments does not erase the pain I carry. Respect the process, even if you do not understand it. If you cannot extend compassion, then at least extend silence."

Recall that Ruth Otabor was hit by one of Dangote's trucks on August 13, in Auchi , Edo State, which left her in a terrible state, and in the hospital, fighting for her life.

Unfortunately, on Sunday, 31st of August, the news of Ruth's death was first made public by the president of Auchi Polytechnic via his Instagram story. He shared a photo of her alongside a RIP and crying emojis.
