‎we've Built Our Marriage On Balance - Actor Afeez Owo Speaks On 22-year Marriage With Mide Martins

Nollywood actor Afeez Owo, has shared some details about his 22-year marriage to his wife, Afeez Owo.

The actor, during a recent interview with Oyinmomo TV, revealed that he calls his wife Iya Alekuleja, while she calls him Baba Elere, stating that they aren't the usual pet names, however, it works for them because of their closeness.

Describing their marriage, he stated that it isn't the kind where the husband has to be overly strict or the wife overly calm, explaining that it has been built on balance, and God has been faithful.

He further noted that 22 years of marriage is no small feat, appreciating his wife for putting up with him. He further clarified that his wife is not wicked at home or in public.

He said: "I call her Iya Alekuleja, and she calls me Baba Elere. Those aren’t the usual pet names like dear or honey, but it works for us because of the closeness we share. Our marriage isn’t the kind where the husband has to be overly strict or the wife has to remain overly calm; we’ve built it on balance, and God has been faithful to us.

22 years of marriage is no small thing. Ajoke, thank you for putting up with me. I swear to God, my wife is not a wicked woman, whether at home or in public.”
