My Mum Wanted Me To Be A Catholic Priest - Cubana Chief Priest Shares Revelation About Childhood
Popular businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, has shared some revelations about his childhood.
The up-and-coming singer, via his Instagram page, shared a throwback photo of himself with his late mum, revealing that while growing up, his mum wanted him to be a Catholic priest due to her promise to God, after labouring for over 6 years before being able to give birth.
Noting how she had his brother first before birthing him some months later, he explained that she gave birth to him out of many complications.
He further shared how he tried all his might to get admitted to the seminary, but all to no avail.
Chief Priest added that next year makes it the tenth year since his mother passed on, sharing how it was after the death of his mum that his life changed for good.
The socialite, however, stressed that he is still gripped by guilt of not fulfilling his mum's desire before her death.
He wrote: "Growing Up My Mom Wanted Me To Be A Catholic Priest So Bad Because She Promised God That Her Child Will Serve God While She Searched For The Fruit Of The Womb For Over 6 Years, She Had My Big Brother First & Named Him Onyinyechukwu(Gift from God) Then One Year & Some Months Later She Had Me Out Of So Much Complications So She Named Me Chibuike(God Is My Strength) I Did My Best To Gain Admission To The Seminary But I Couldn’t Make It To Catholic Priesthood Because Many Are Called But Few Are Chosen. Next Year Will Make It 10 Years I Lost My Mom & Everyone Who Really Knows My Real Story Will Testify That After My Mom Made It To Heaven My Story Changed For Good. Everyday I Live With The Guilt That I Disappointed My Mama By Not Becoming A Catholic Priest, She Wanted To Be Called MaMa Father But Rather I Became The ChiefPriest, But Fact Remains That I’m Still Doing Gods Work.
