Anyone Advocating For What's Happening In Nepal To Be Replicated In Nigeria Doesn't Mean Well For Nigeria - Stan Alieke
Popular Nigerian lawyer, Stan Alieke, has condemned the claims of some individuals advocating for the ruckus ongoing in Nepal to be replicated in Nigeria.
The Abuja-based lawyer, via his Instagram story, stated that the aftermath of a violent protest, revolution, or war, is the rebuilding process.
Citing instances, he stressed that the Igbos have not fully recovered from the civil war, despite it being over 6 decades, adding that countries like Rwanda, Liberia, and many other countries, are still grappling with the effects of war.
Emphasizing his stance, he stated that anyone who is advocating for what is going on in Nepal to take place in Nigeria is either not a student of history, or doesn't wish Nigeria well.
Proferring a solution to Nigeria's problems, he stated that exercising the right to vote with the voter's card is the biggest tool for revolution.
He wrote: "After a violent Protest, revolution, or war, the problem is always the rebuilding/ recoverying process. The Igbos are yet to recover from the havoc of the civil war even after over 6 decades later, same with Rwanda, same with Liberia, the list goes on. Anybody advocating for the replication of what’s happening in Nepal in Nigeria is definitely not a student of history or the person doesn’t just mean well for Nigeria-But, your number 1 tool to revolution is your voter’s card."
Recall that Nepal is currently in a state of ruckus and chaos, as the Gen Z protests began following a nationwide ban on numerous social media platforms, but had their origin in the public's frustration with corruption and display of wealth by government officials and their families, as well as allegations of mismanagement of public funds.
