Phyna Finally Confirms Sister's Death

Popular Nigerian reality star, Josephine Otabor, better known as Phyna, has confirmed the death of her younger sister, Ruth Otabor, who was hit by a truck of Dangote Group recently.

The news of Ruth's death was first made public by the president of Auchi Polytechnic via his Instagram story. He shared a photo of her alongside a RIP and crying emojis

Confirming the news via her Instagram page, Phyna, through her legal representatives, confirmed that her sister passed on on Sunday, 31st August.

She urged the public to respect the family's mourning period, adding that the funeral arrangement will be communicated to the public in due time.

The statement read: "EKO SOLICITORS & ADVOCATES TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC THE PASSING ON TO GLORY OF RUTH OTABOR We remain Solicitors to Ruth Otabor, Josephine Otabor (whose moniker is: Phyna) and the Otabor Family and have their instruction to inform the public of this.

With a heavy heart the Family of regrets to announce the passing on to glory of their Daughter, Sister, Mother on this 31st Day of August, 2025 at about 06:30Hrs.

The Family is presently grieving and will appreciate to be given a private moment to mourn the departed.

The Funeral arrangement will be communicated to the public in due course.
