Popular comedian and actor, Ayo Makun, better known as AY, has shared the tragic loss of his Lagos property two years ago, and how he managed to sail through that period.
Taking to his Instagram page, the actor shared a video of the fire-gutted building, revealing that August 6th makes it two years since everything went up in flames, "Two years ago today, everything went up in flames."
He shared how his home, peace, and comfort zone was gutted by fire, and from the incident, he faced betrayal, lies, and even storms that tried to silence everything he had built, "My home. My peace. My comfort zone.
And that was just the beginning. I've seen betrayal. I've heard lies. I've faced storms that tried to silence everything I've built."
Narrating how he is still standing strong today, he explained that he is not lucky, but God has been faithful, stating that God's grace is louder than gossip, "But I'm still here not because I'm lucky.
But because God is faithful. Because grace is louder than gossip." Furthermore, the award-winning comedian noted that people still plot against him, talk bad, however, while they walk in darkness, he walks in light, "Because purpose doesn't burn in the fire.

He stressed that every setback he faced was preparation for something greater, expressing gratitude to God for beauty after the ashes, "Every setback was a setup for something greater.
