I Will Make You A Scapegoat - Dayo Amusa Reacts To HIV Claims
Popular Nollywood actress, Dayo Amusa, has been in the news, following the recent allegations that she is HIV positive.
The viral claim was made by a content creator, Olaoluwa Segun on Friday, who mentioned the actress alongside five Nigerian actors living with HIV.
Reacting to the viral claim, the mother of one in a viral Instagram video, stated that the content creator's claim about her was drawn from a video she made in 2019. According to her, the video she made about HIV then was for educational purposes, and how the public can check their status, and what to do if they were positive.
She further added that the content creator's claim was not backed by any facts, and as a result, she will not let this slide, adding that she will make him a scapegoat.
She said: "I want to address a video that is trending across all social media platforms since the last 24 hours. A video posted by someone I don’t know, and people start to tag me in it.
The video is related to a post I made in 2019 regarding my HIV status, which was negative. The purpose of that post was to educate people on the importance of knowing their HIV status. And even if, for any reason, you’re positive, it’s important to seek medical help and take the necessary steps. After all, it’s not the end of the world.
“It’s shocking that someone picked it and enlisted me with others, claiming we are HIV positive without any proper investigation. The post has attracted several comments and likes. I am not going to let this slide. I will make you a scapegoat."
