‎Popuiar Nigerian filmmaker, Niyi Akinmolayan, has revealed that the next phase of the Nollywood industry's growth requires sacrifices from the current players.

‎According to the renowned filmmaker, the Nollywood industry is moving into a new phase, and for it to grow from its current level, those leading the industry have to put in the efforts.

‎He noted that the sacrifices that would be made might not even benefit those that are going to be involved, but that's the only way to move the industry forward.

‎He also added that those leading the movie industry should make up their mind to begin to create tailored solutions for the growth of the industry, or "continue to wait till we fade."

‎He wrote:
‎"The next phase of Nollywood's growth is going to require a lot of sacrifice from the current players. We might not even be the ones to reap the benefits but that's the only way forward.

‎"It is what it is. We can decide now to set our destiny by creating tailored solutions or we can continue to wait till we fade."
