Speed Darlington Threatens To Sue NAPTIP For Defamation, Refuses To Honour Invitation
Controversial Nigerian singer, Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has issued a warning to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), after he was declared wanted.
The Nigerian Voice recalls that Speed Darlington was recently declared wanted by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) over rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.
This comes after the singer in May, shared a video on his Instagram page revealing in Igbo language that he had sex with a young girl in an unnamed hotel, adding that the girl was left bleeding and that he paid hotel staff N2,000 to change the sheets
Reacting to NAPTIP's post, the 'Baby Oil' crooner in a viral Instagram video on Monday, slammed the agency for declaring him wanted without substantial evidence. He accused the agency of trying to use his name to chase clout, hence the reason for declaring him wanted.
Sounding a note of warning, Akpi emphasized that he would not honour NAPTIP's invitation, and would file a suit for defamation soon.
Speed Darlington said:
"This video is for NAPTIP. All this wanted video you posted, you need to take it down. I'm not coming. I've not committed any crime, all I did was speak irresponsible talk.
So, irresponsible talk is now a crime?

All those women that was tagging you guys are bunch of 30s and 20 something who have not found husband, so Speed Darlington no get eye for my age mate, and now they're hating on me because I talk and people listen to things I say so that they know if I say I no get eye for 30s and 40s, and late 20s na him he say men no dey look their way, so they begin to hate on me. Anything I say they tag you and add that to some jobless boys wey remove from that list.
I will sue you for defamation of character and spoiling my name."
