Can Prayer Alter Destiny? - Stan Alieke Questions Fate and Predestination
Popular Nigerian lawyer Stan Alieke has shared his views on fate and predetermined events.
The Abuja-based lawyer took to his Instagram story to pose a thought-provoking question: "If everything has been pre-planned and premeditated by an omniscient God, does it mean that your prayer & works will not or cannot change the outcome of your life?"
He further argued that if failure is predetermined, it will inevitably happen, noting that the same applies to success. According to him, this raises the question of whether human effort or divine intervention can alter fate.
He wrote: "If everything has been preplanned & premeditated by an omniscience God, does it mean that your prayer & works will not or cannot change the outcome of your life? This is to say that if it has been predetermined that you will not make it, you will not make it & vice versa & your prayers & labour will have not effect on the outcome unless we are to argue that everything is not determined by fate & nothing is predetermined so we're the ones to determine our destiny."
