‎Popular Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, has urged foreigners to desist from making opinions about Nigeria or Africa unless they see for themselves.

‎ ‎The 'Damages' crooner, while speaking in a conversation with Fashion Bomb Daily at the 2025 Met Gala in New York, stated that she has always encouraged people to visit Lagos and Ghana for vacation.

‎ ‎She explained that it is better for many people to visit some countries in Africa before having the wrong perception about the continent

‎ ‎Acording to her, the beauty of Africa is in the creativity, daily efforts, songs, and culture.

‎ ‎She said: ‎"I always encouraged people to go to Lagos and Ghana for vacation. Just go and see for yourself before you make an opinion [about Africa]. See it for yourself and see how you feel.

‎ ‎“I think it [the beauty of Africa] is in the creativity, the daily efforts, the looks, the songs, the traditions and the cultures.”
