the Level Of Hypocrisy, Worldliness, And Cabalism In The Gospel Music Industry In Nigeria Is Alarming – Woli Arole
Popular Nollywood actor-turned-pastor, Bayegun Oluwatoyin, widely known as Woli Arole, has expressed deep concern over the state of the Nigerian gospel music industry.
In a candid Instagram post, Woli Arole lamented the high levels of hypocrisy, worldliness, and cabalism prevalent in the industry. He criticized the formation of exclusive cliques among popular gospel ministers, which he claims dictates who gets invited to ministrations, rather than decisions being led by the Spirit.
He also pointed out the growing difficulty in distinguishing between gospel ministers and secular performers due to the increasingly similar classs of music.
Woli Arole wrote:
“The level of hypocrisy, worldliness, and cabalism in the gospel music industry in Nigeria is alarming. Oh yes! Invitations are based on who you know, not as the Spirit leads. Music ministers too—we can’t differentiate whether you’re a performer or a minister. It’s well!”
