Davido Reveals How He Handles Death Of Loved Ones

Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has revealed how he handles the death of loved ones.

The singer has had his experience with losing loved ones including losing his mum, Mrs Victoria Imade Adeleke, at 11, and his 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke. The singer has also lost associates, Tagbo, DJ Olu, Obama DMW, and personal photographer Fortune.

Davido, in an interview with Mystery Fashionist in New York explained that what keeps him going after the deaths of his loved ones is his faith.

He said: “I have lost a lot of people. I lost my mum at the age of eleven. I’m just being strong. I did a song called ‘Stand Strong.

“I feel like strength and obviously, my faith has kept me going."

The singer also noted that many people do not understand him, with some thinking he is unapproachable, while others think he is too accessible.

He said: "I think sometimes, people think I am not approachable. Another misconception is that people also think I am too accessible.

“I grew up in a big family, I’m used to having people around me. My talent and success is God-given."
