Consulate's Dinner For Nollywood: Genevieve Nnaji, Others Stand Out

The Consul General of the U.S. Consulate in Nigeria Mr. Jeffrey J. Hawkins hosted the Queen of Nollywood Genevieve Nnaji and other Nollywood celebrities to an exclusive dinner penultimate Friday December 7 at his residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.

One of those who stood out glamorously is the African Best actress, Genevieve Nnaji. Other top movie directors who graced the event too were well treated and had a nice time.

At the dinner were top movie directors Mahmood Ali-Balogun, Bond Emeruwa, Andy Amenechi and fast rising Nollywood producer and actress Amaka Anioji.

Other important guests included Benny Uche of the Public Affairs Section of the United States Embassy, Hope Obioma Opara, President of Eko International Film Festival, Uduak Oguamanam, Bobby Michaels, Rita Onwurah, CNN's Vladamir Duthiers and Bola Aduwo

The U.S Consul General appreciated participants of the capacity building/training workshop for practitioners in Nollywood called Nollywood UP, a program designed by Nollywood Workshops, the Coalition of Nollywood Guilds and Associations (CONGA) and backed by the Lagos State Government.
