Lambogini, Stella Damasus, P-Square, Others Release Bail For 30 Lagos Prison Inmates

Come Thursday, March 22, 2012, Nigerian hip-hop artiste, Lamboginny will gathered top Nigerian celebrities for the bail release of 30 prison inmates comprising 27 males and 7 females.

The event, which is tagged 'Freedom For Helpless Inmates', was initiated to help ex-convicts find their way into the society and educate the general public on forgiveness and acceptance of the ex-convicts.

According to Lamboginny, 'Freedom For Helpless Inmates' is to absorb ex-cons into the society, though not giving them a pat on the back for wrong earlier done, but to give them a new life so as not to go back into what they were formerly convicted for.

Top celebrities in support of this idea are Stella Damasus, Laide Bakare, P-Square, 9ice, Kaffy, Sammie Okposo, Yaw, Honorable Ayo Joseph (Apapa Local  Government Chairman), and many others.

The event, which holds at the Kirikiri Medium Security Prison, Apapa, Lagos is expected to start by 12 noon.

The initiative has received the endorsement of Mr Olusola Ogundipe OFR, mni (Controller General, Nigerian Prison Service); Mrs Rose Ozoma OON, mni (Controller General, Nigerian Immigration Service).
