The highly anticipated movie, The CEO by Kunle Afolayan, was premiered yesterday, July 10, 2016 at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island in Lagos.

The premiere was attended by a good number of dignitaries and celebrities such as the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed and his wife, Alhaja Kudirat Adeoti Muhammed, Honourable Desmond Elliot and Hilda Dokubo. Haitian actor, Jimmy Jean Louis was also in attendance as well as, Lala Akindoju, Ade Bantu, Wale Ojo, Uti Nwachukwu, Enyinna Nwigwe, Kehinde Bankole, Iyabo Ojo, Monique Samuel and Segun Arinze.

The list of attendees continues with veteran filmmaker, Tunde Kelani, Yemi Shodimu, Gideon Okeke, Yeni Kuti, Yaw, OC Ukeje, Mo’ Abudu, Murphy Ray-Eyiwunmi, Kola Kudus, Peter King and many others.

“The CEO” by Kunle Afolayan, is a suspense packed thriller, surrounding five top executives from various parts of Africa. They were sent on a one-week leadership retreat by a multinational telecommunications firm, to determine which one to appoint as the company’s new CEO. The story took a twist when three of the executives are eliminated one after the other, in sudden death circumstances. The finger now falls on the remaining two executives as prime suspects. Who is the killer?

The film was written by Tunde Babalola and shot in various locations – Lagos, Nigeria, Paris, Kenya, South Africa and Cote D’ Voire. Some of the cast and crew include, Wale Ojo, Lala Akindoju, award winning performer, Angelique Kidjo, Fatym Layachi, Aurelie Eliam, Hilda Dokubo, Jimmy Jean Louis, Peter King, Nico Panagio and many others.
