Nigeria pop talented singer, Yemi Alade, who opened a jewelry line last month has told her fans what she passed through while growing to stardom.
The beautiful 'Johnny' crooner explained how she has gone to perform in shows freely without pay. She said "it was not easy in the beginning; I performed in over 300 free shows before I came this big. I did not use to have money for studio sessions. It was that bad."
Yemi who is now on the list of one of the biggest female singers in Africa, have won some awards to her credit and has traveled wide for different shows. Her song is played in many African countries and other continent of the world as she continues to remix her songs in the French language to penetrate the international market more.
