Police Nab Suspected Child Abductor
Lagos State Police command has arrested a woman who alleged that her co-tenant abducted their neighbour's 4- year- old child.
LEADERSHIP Sunday gathered that the missing kid identified as Godswill Akpede was last seen with other children, playing in front of their residence at Ugbenwankwo Street, in Ajegunle area of Lagos State, on January 22, 2015.
Godswill's parents, Matthew and Blessing Akpede who hail from Isoko area of Delta State said they combed different parts of Ajeromi -Ifelodun local government area for their child but to no avail.
The mother of the missing boy, Blessing said they had since reported the case of missing child at Ajegunle and Alakara police stations, respectively.
Blessing said her co-tenant identified as Joy woke the neigbours around 4am on April 23, screaming from her apartment that it was a Muslim cleric living in the compound that abducted the missing child.
The cleric identified as Saliu Jakande and Joy have been arrested by detectives attached to Ajegunle police station.
