At 29, Chukwugoziam Obi, famously known as Emma Nyra believes she has all it takes to hit the zenith of her music career and make her long time wish of closing shows come to pass.

After she shot into limelight when featured in Iyanya's hit track, Your Waist, the 'hot-legged' songstress has refused to relent in pushing her music higher, but one thing she can't stand or tolerate is offensive or abusive comments on her social media handles.

"My style is sexy, classy and sporty. I like to wear clothes that fit. I am an artiste and I like to take risks. People always comment about my style, but they need to know that style is an expression of who you are. I read comments about myself on blogs, Twitter and Instagram and I delete the offensive ones," she said in a recent interview.

Emma Nyra may not yet make the list of top 5 female music stars in Nigeria but she doesn't feel threatened by the success of others before her.

"I am happy there are other female acts doing well because they are paving the way for other girls coming after us. Girls tell me all the time that they look up to me because I have done quite well within a short period of time. Before now, we didn't know that women could make it big in the industry.

I am happy to be in their midst and I am not under any pressure whatsoever. When God says it is your time to make it, nothing can stop it. Orisefemi has been in the game for nearly 10 years and he has only just made his mark. Music is all about timing, I think I am doing fine. Three years, I don't feel like I am wasting time," she stated.

Unlike other celebrities who would also hide their relationship status, the First Lady of Made Man music is proudly in a serious relationship and whispers it to whose ever cares to listen.
"Yes, I am in a relationship and he is very supportive of my craft. He encourages me to ignore all the negative things being said about me."

She also squealed what the future holds for her, "I want to establish a foundation for kids. I plan to own a perfume, make-up brand and clothing line. My mum attended a school of cosmetology and she also is a certified hair stylist. I am also interested in cosmetology.", she added.
