Oliver De CoQue To Be Buried In November
The remains of the king of highlife music, Chief Sunday Akanite a.k.a. Oliver De Coque, will be buried on 14 November, 2008, http://nollywoodgists.com can authoritatively reveal.
Investigations revealed that the authentic burial date of the late musician was announced by the Burial Committee led by Chief Odumegwu Oputa Obie, during its visit to the palace of Eze Nd'igbo of Lagos State, Eze H.N. Ohazulike, recently.
Odumegwu told the traditional ruler that the delay in the burial plan was to give Oliver's mother a befitting burial.
The chairman said that an exhibition of the highlife musician's past works, lying-in-state and wake keep service will hold between 11 and 25 October, 2008.
He said that the message had been communicated to friends, fans and colleagues of the late musician.
Other members of the committee are Chief Yusuf Olumo, Barrister Sam Ifeme, Ernest Onachi and Alhaja Rose, among others.
