LASU Students Stage Protest, Accuse Lagos Assembly Of Being Bias
Students of the Lagos State University (LASU), on Tuesday staged a mass protest to the Lagos state House of Assembly to lay complain about the hike in their school fees which has been a pain in the neck to their parents.
The students admitted that their inability to meet up with their registration, before the school's portal was closed by the management, was because of their failure to meet up with payment of the high school fees.
It would be recalled that the students, on the 23rd of January, staged a protest at the school's main campus at Ojo, thereby, vandalizing the school's properties and cars belonging to some members of staff.
Furthermore, the students accused the House of taking sides with the school management rather than tackling the main issue on ground in order to reach a consensus, vowing to stage another protest at a later date.
Meanwhile, one of the members of the state Assembly, who addressed the aggrieved protesters, stated that though the students had not brought any petition before the House, the issue would however be deliberated on by the House.
