Some weeks ago, we exclusively reported a story involving one Mrs Tonia Martins; her beauty pageant, Sisi Eko and the winner of the pageant, Yinka Adewale. Since Nollywoodgists.com broke the story, we have been tracking events as they unfolded. Our investigation revealed that last week Wednesday, August 22, 2012, Tonia was invited by the police at the Lagos State Police Command in Ikeja for questioning.

At the station, Tonia promised to redeem her pledge to the winner of the beauty pageant, Yinka before the end of December 2012. She told the police that Yinka would first get her 200,000 Naira cash prize before the end of September 2012 while the car would be handed over to her before December 17, 2012, which is when it would have been a year she was crowned queen. For the one year modelling contract, we learnt that was dropped.

When contacted, Tonia told Nollywoodgists.com she would allow the police to do their job. Tonia said she isn't a trouble maker and that her 2011 show was done without any sponsor. She said that though she believe there are forces working to make sure the 2012 edition of the beauty contest does not hold, but she believes whatever God has ordained cannot be shaken.

Nollywoodgists.com contacted Yinka on this issue, but she told us that her lawyer has asked her not to speak on the matter again.
